Read-aloud voice
Voices come from this device. For the most natural ones: in Edge, pick a “Natural” voice; on an iPad, iPhone or Mac, download an “Enhanced” or “Premium” voice (iPad: Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices → English), then reload the game.

About listening
- 🎤 Uses the browser's built-in speech recognition. In Chrome and Edge, speech goes to Google/Microsoft to be understood; in Safari, to Apple. The game doesn't record or keep any audio.
- 👂 It works best in a quiet room, with the device close by. If it struggles, open the game from a local web server (see the README) so the browser remembers microphone permission.
- 🔤 Words that sound the same count (to, two, too), but look-alike words don't (went vs want), because telling those apart is the point of sight words.
- ✓ The Grown-up: correct button is always there when the microphone gets it wrong.
